(Downside is now you have to have an actual account at Brainwashed to submit your vote, but it's not the end of the world.)
2006 Brainwashed Readers' Poll
You're given 100 points in each category for distribution amongst your entries as you see fit (great, now you have to do math?). You can have between 5 and 10 releases in each category - NO MORE AND NO LESS - and you will distribute 100 points total.
so you can, say have something like this:

Category 4: V/A Collection
Vote for only collections issued in 2006.

Category 5: Your most popular song!
This round is a little different....
For those of you with computer programs that chart how many times you've played a song, list the top 10 songs from 2006 that you have played. BE HONEST. Check your program right now and list the top 10 there (only from 2006). (record label not necessary)
Category 6: Music video (short length)
Pick your favorite music videos of the year (pick a specific short-length music video - not a "video album" or "concert video" type thing but an individual song/video). Yes, bands still make music videos and don't just vote "MTV Sucks" because we all know they do, they just don't even play music videos any more. If you don't believe me, search here or YouTube or whatever, but I'm pretty sure you've seen a few from 2006.
Just list Artist and video name for this one. Don't need to assign points or anything. List as many or as few as you want.
Results of everything will be posted online here in January!
