For this full release, this half of Pan Sonic once again goes minimal, but never boring.
For nine distinct tracks, Vainio chooses differinginstrumentation, pulse, approach and feel. While the drive and beatfrom Pan Sonic albums is not here, the sonic excitement is. Tones ringout, vibrating various hairs inside the inner ear, creepy noises andsoundscapes act as perfect sci-fi b-movie soundtrack contenders, whileglitches indeed get worshipped. The disc was recorded in both NY andMika's current home town of Barcelona and for the first time featuresEnglish translation of the song titles. To be honest, it's moreenjoyable than the Mort Aux Vaches but less entertaining than any fullforce Panasonic long-player.
